In a world that moves a little too fast, we are always searching for ways to slow down, soften and reconnect with ourselves. Zehen yoga and Paws for souls comes together 13th june to make a meaningful and heartwarming evening for you to slow down and reconnect using Pet Yoga.


What is Peta Yoga?


Pet yoga is exactly what it sounds like, yoga with a little extra magic. It is a yoga session where friendly animals are free to move around, interact and share space with you as you practice. Unlike a traditional class there is no pressure to "perfect" your poses. Instead the focus is on connection, presence and joy. There is only one outcome to the session and that is to smile, breathe and simply be.


Why practice yoga with pets?


Being around pets taps into deeper emotional release, stress relief and genuine happiness. Pet yoga brings you the same level of physical benefits as normal yoga along with deeper emotional benefits.

  1. Instant Stress relief

    Interacting with animals is known to reduce cortisol (stress hormone) levels. A simple cuddle or playful moment can shift your entire mood.

  2. Emotional Connection

    Animals live fully in the present moment. Being around them encourages you to do the same. Letting go of overthinking and grounding into the now.

  3. Mindfulness made easy

    If you've ever struggled to "switch off" during meditation, pet yoga offers a softer approach. The presence of animals draws you into your awareness naturally.

    There's something undeniably uplifting about practicing yoga in the presence of animals. It's light, real and beautifully imperfect.



What to expect in the Session


Every session is a little different (because our furry friends have minds of their own), but here's what you can generally expect:


  • A warm, welcoming environment

  • A beginner-friendly yoga flow

  • Plenty of animal interaction and cuddles

  • A space where it's okay to pause, laugh and enjoy the moment.


There is no need to take it too seriously, this is your time to move, breath and feel good.
